Navigators Peer Mentoring Program

Navigator team 2016-2017

When College Success Foundation (CSF) Scholars arrive in college, the Navigators Peer Mentoring Program provides signature support to promote student engagement, academic success and persistence toward graduation. Utilizing peer mentoring as a core strategy, ‘Navigators’ serve as trained student-leaders who welcome, guide and support CSF Scholars in college. By mentoring and connecting students to vital campus resources, Navigators cultivate a strong sense of belonging within the campus community and bolster student success.

There are two distinct types of Navigator Programs tailored to meet students’ unique needs:

  • College Success Navigators - Serve former CSF Achievers Scholars
  • Passport Navigators - Serve Passport Scholarship recipients

Navigators integrate engagement and completion of critical ‘milestones’ in college, which have been shown to directly support student success, persistence and timely completion. These milestones include academic advising, campus involvement, faculty engagement, FAFSA / WASFA completion and early career exploration.

College Success Navigators Program

The College Success Navigators Program serves first-year freshmen who received pre-college services through the College Success Foundation Achievers Program. Current College Success Navigators Program campuses include:

  • Central Washington University
  • Eastern Washington University
