Seattle's Story

The College Success Foundation originally began in the Seattle Public Schools in 2001 with the Achievers Scholarship Program at Cleveland High School.  In 2010, CSF started working at Garfield High School.  More recently , CSF programming expanded to Rainier Beach High School.  It also serves Mercer and Washington middle schools.

CSF began in the Highline School District at Highline High School; in the 2015-16 school year CSF programs expanded to Evergreen, Mt. Rainier and Tyee.  It also serves Cascade, Sylvester and Chinook middle schools.

At the middle school level, the College and Career Readiness program is offered.  At the high school level, programs are offered for 9th and 10th graders (HERO) and for 11th and 12th graders (Achievers Scholars).

Students are selected as CSF Achievers Scholars in February of their junior year.  College prep advisors work with the students in the program to support successful high school completion, preparation for college and college matriculation. 

The College Success Foundation is headquartered in Bellevue, Wash., and has additional offices in Washington, D.C. and Tacoma, Seattle and Spokane, Wash.  It is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization which began in 2000.
