Become a Hometown Mentor or Volunteer

Join our Hometown Mentor or Volunteer Program!

Thank you very much for your interest in our Hometown Mentor Program and Volunteer opportunities. Our mentors and volunteers provide an invaluable support in delivering CSF’s promise to empower our Achievers to finish high school, graduate from college and succeed in life.

You can share your time with students by becoming a Hometown Mentor and/or volunteer!

Hometown Mentor Program

As a mentor, you have the unique opportunity to help a student succeed. You will be joining a community of advocates and supporters from all different fields and stages of their careers. Our mentors share a minimum of just one hour a month with a scholar. Mentors are critical to ensuring that our students earn college degrees. We will help you with this role by providing the tools you will need to effectively help a young person achieve their educational goals.

Volunteer Program

Share your time, talent and skills! Do you have time to give, a talent to contribute or resources to pass along to a student? CSF’s success lies in the deep commitment of thousands of supporters and volunteers. We welcome professionals, community leaders and others with personal development, education and career expertise.

At various times of the year, CSF has the need for volunteers like you to serve as:

Guest Speakers on college and/or career experience

Scholarship Application Readers to assist with reading and scoring scholarship applications

Chaperones on college visits and field trips

Coaches to help students with college applications, financial aid applications, scholarship searches and personal statements
