Persistence, determination and hope: Madelyn’s story

CSF Scholar Madelyn has continued to pursue her dreams through many challenges caused by the pandemic and systemic inequities. As a sophomore at University of Washington Bothell, she is a STEM major who hopes to be an international aid worker in developing countries.

In this video, Madalyn tells her story of persistence, determination and hope. She shares how she overcame challenges to become a first-generation college student and how CSF Advisors are fundamental to her success.

I wanted a future for myself. I wanted to see myself succeeding in life. CSF allowed me to realize that regardless of my documentation, college was still possible if I really, really wanted it.
