Tradition and Legacies: Celebrating the Journey of Assadulah Jenkins

December 9, 2024

Assadulah and Trinity

At the 17th Annual CSF–DC and Costco Wholesale Breakfast Fundraiser, we had the privilege of hearing from Assadulah Jenkins, our distinguished alumni speaker. Now an emergency management specialist with the DC Homeland Security Emergency Management Agency, Assadulah shared how CSF–DC helped shape his professional journey and personal success story.

A graduate of Thurgood Marshall Academy, Assadulah continued his education at Clark Atlanta University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology with honors in 2018. Following graduation, he moved to Philadelphia and took on the role of assistant dean at the Southwest Leadership Academy, a K–8 public charter school. His time in education deepened his dedication to community service and equipped him with the skills for his current role, where he focuses on safeguarding the DC community through emergency preparedness and response.

Assadulah’s journey isn’t just about career achievements — it’s also a testament to the power of community and connection. In November 2022, he married his high school sweetheart, Trinity, a fellow CSF–DC Scholar. This year, their family grew with the arrival of their daughter Munirah, bringing even more joy and purpose to their lives.

Assadulah continues to serve as a role model, embodying the values of commitment, resilience and service. His story reminds us of the lasting impact of the CSF–DC community and the power of education and mentorship in transforming lives.

We are honored to celebrate Assadulah’s achievements and look forward to seeing how he continues to inspire and uplift the community.
