CSF-DC’s Impactful FAFSA Partnership and Workshops

May 6, 2024

CSF-DC was honored to be a strategic partner for Washington, DC, in providing financial aid support to residents in our metro area. Together with the National College Attainment Network (NCAN), Mainstay, and Capital One, CSF-DC hosted three FAFSA workshops. The workshops were very successful, attracting students and parents across the DMV area.

Our partnership with NCAN and Capital One concluded with the final FAFSA workshop on March 30, 2024. Our team provided expert guidance, helping students and parents navigate the FAFSA and DC TAG applications. Additionally, we were honored to receive several distinguished guests at our events.

On March 16, 2024, we welcomed US Deputy Secretary of Education, Cindy Marten, and Washington Post reporter, Susan Svrluga. Their insights and engagement with students highlighted the importance of FAFSA in shaping educational futures. On March 30, 2024, Chelsea Daley, the Digital Director to the Secretary for the US Department of Education, also joined us. Her presence highlighted the significance of our collective efforts and fostered dialogue between CSF-DC staff, students, and federal representatives.

We are grateful for the unwavering support of our partners, and the dedication of our team. Together, we are creating brighter educational opportunities and empowering students to reach their full potential. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to positively impact our community!
