CSF-DC Welcomes the Largest Cohort of New Students Since the Pandemic

CSF-DC is excited to announce the selection and inclusion of 271 students and their families into the CSF-DC Scholars Program for FY25. We understand that for students embarking on a new college and career readiness journey, the experience can be both thrilling and daunting. Our dedicated staff will ensure that each student feels supported, affirmed, and guided during each step of the scholar’s program pathway.

Upon joining the CSF-DC Scholars Program, students will gain access to comprehensive services and resources designed to empower their academic and career journeys. From personalized academic advising and coaching to ongoing performance monitoring and youth development experiences, students will receive the academic and personal guidance and support they need to thrive in high school and college. Our robust offerings include academic enrichment support during Saturday Academy, after-school tutoring, and a six-week Summer Academic Enrichment Program (SAEP). Our commitment extends beyond high school graduation. Once in college, CSF-DC Scholars receive year-round academic support and advisement programming, develop career plans, participate in structured internships and other work experiences, and receive post-college career advisement services.

In addition to student support, CSF-DC is also dedicated to embracing and empowering parents and guardians through our monthly Parent University work sessions. Parent University provides the vehicle for parents and families to address unique challenges that may impact their financial, health, housing, and educational futures. 

As we prepare our students and families to work with us for the next 8 to 12 years, CSF-DC will host program orientation sessions in May and sponsor a special induction ceremony for new students during our June 3rd Scholar Spotlight Celebration.
