CSF President & CEO joins panel on state of education in Seattle
Hohimer Wealth Management recently invited CSF President & CEO James Dorsey to join a panel on the state of education in Seattle. Other panelists included Dr. Susan Enfield, Superintendent of Highline Schools; and Dr. Mia Tuan, Dean of the University of Washington College of Education.
The leaders discussed the devastating impact of the pandemic and systemic racism on schools. While they acknowledged daunting challenges, they also remained hopeful. They agreed that while technology can enhance learning and education, it cannot replace the power of being together in person in the classroom which provides unique social and emotional learning supports.
As educators plan for the upcoming academic year, this panel provides an insightful discussion into recovery and rebuilding.
