Paying for college can be daunting. CSF College Services is here to support you and your family.
Our goal is to ensure that you are empowered to pursue your dream of a college education without compromising your financial future. Take the necessary steps to ensure that you have a clear, sustainable financial plan on how to pay for college.
Paying for College: Keys to Success
- File your Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA). Financial aid forms must be completed every year.
- Maximize free aid like the Federal Pell Grant and the Washington College Grant and scholarships. Complete the FAFSA or WASFA to gain access to grants. Check out our financial aid hub for more tips and tricks on how to find and apply for scholarships.
- Review 5 Things You Should Do After Filing Your FAFSA.
- Explore if work-study is an option for you.
- Explore part-time work. This can be a great way to help pay for college and acquire new skills. However, be careful that this does not have a negative impact on your ability to complete college. Speak with your academic advisor or CSF college coach to weigh your options.
- Appeal your financial aid award if you have special circumstances. Learn more
- Meet with a financial aid officer. Financial aid officers know about what resources are available. Before assuming it’s not possible, talk to someone in your financial aid office or your CSF college coach.
- Emergency funds are currently available only to current Leadership 1000 and BECU scholarship recipients. If you’re an L1000 or BECU scholarship recipient and you’d like to apply for emergency funds, contact Scholarship Services about eligibility and application. If you’re a CSF Scholar but not a scholarship recipient, contact your coach or someone in your financial aid office to discuss what other financial resources might be available to you.
