Maggie Nayyar
Executive Director, CSF-DC

Maggie joins the CSF family with nearly 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and has raised funds for education, veterans’ initiatives and healthcare.  She leads CSF-DC’s philanthropy, community engagement, marketing and communications.

Her broad expertise in building comprehensive and sustainable fundraising programs is informed by years of experience in all aspects of revenue generating activities, including major and principal donor solicitations, foundation and corporate relations, annual fund, planned giving, and fundraising events.  Maggie’s passion is to help donors and social entrepreneurs turn their philanthropic visions into reality by implementing innovative donor collaboratives, campaigns, and grant-making initiatives. She is delighted to deploy her fundraising skills in service to CSF-DC’s timely and urgent mission to support and inspire underserved, low-income students to finish high school, graduate from college and succeed in life.

Maggie is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and International Business from High Point University; Master of Business Administration from Western Carolina University; and Certificate in Fund Raising Management from Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

 

Kevin Mungin
Deputy Executive Director, CSF-DC

Kevin has had rising responsibilities at CSF-DC for fifteen years, designing, implementing and leading student-centered programs, building collaborations with local schools, and mentoring students. He has been working with adolescents and young adults for over twenty years.

Kevin now serves as the Director of Programs and the Project Director, Upward Bound for the College Success Foundation – District of Columbia and is charged with the oversight of programming and administration.  He leads a team that supports students in developing the skills for college awareness, readiness as well as the “intelligent behaviors” and “habits of mind” that will help them be successful. Kevin has presented at national conferences including the National College Attainment Network (NCAN), Best of Out-Of- School Time (BOOST) and College Board’s A Dream Deferred: The Future of African American Education. Mr. Mungin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology (concentration in Social Psychology) from the University of Maryland College Park and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University. Kevin is also a professor of Psychology at Prince George’s County Community College.
