CSF-DC is Proud to Be a Part of This Year’s Spur Local (Formerly The Catalog For Philanthropy)

CSF-DC is thrilled to announce our membership in the Class of 2024 of Spur Local, formerly known as the Catalogue for Philanthropy.
Founded by philanthropist Barbara Harman, Spur Local is an esteemed publication that connects donors with community-based nonprofits that lack the resources to reach a broader audience. Over the last 20 years, Spur Local has raised nearly $60M for local nonprofits and grown to become the largest nonprofit capacity builder in the region, designing resources specifically for nonprofits operating with small teams and budgets, like CSF-DC. Spur Local creates a stronger, more resilient and more equitable region by cultivating critical connections between residents and the nonprofits in their neighborhoods.
We are excited to have been chosen from the thousands of nonprofits in the greater Washington area by Spur Local through a rigorous and meticulous review of our programs, financial status and student outcomes. Our work with Spur Local is rooted in equity, collaboration, resiliency, empowerment and community. Together, we will continue to be a “catalyst for good.” This partnership reaffirms our commitment to serving Wards 7 and 8 and the DMV area and amplifies our mission of a college degree for all.
We look forward to the next four years of our partnership and collaboration with Spur Local.
