Anti-Racism Pledge
We stand as an anti-racist organization.
CSF was founded over 20 years ago on the virtuous ambition to close the equity gap in education. In the summer of 2020, we took a giant leap forward. We made the pledge to become an anti-racist organization––to challenge beliefs, behaviors and policies that perpetuate systemic oppression.
We began this re-energized journey by focusing inward on our own learning, representation and training.
We implemented multi-day anti-racism training for all CSF staff and national board members as part of onboarding to the organization.
We formalized an anti-racism committee on our National Board of Directors. This governing body identifies training and learning opportunities, and works diligently to diversity our board representation.
Now, with a stronger foundation of understanding and knowledge, we are developing organizational racial, equity, diversity, and inclusion goals to guide our work, measure our impact and share our progress.
We will continue to leverage our voice and position to fight systemic racism.
