Why I work at CSF:

My love for this work is deep. It’s deep not only because I’m passionate about and care for the well-being of my students, but also because when I was younger, I experienced similar situations as many of the students we serve. I come from a low-income household where resources were minimal, and I needed assistance to plan for my future. When I was in high school, I was given the opportunity to become an Achievers/Gates Scholar, and received a wonderful College Prep Advisor. I saw the great work he did, and it inspired me to do the same when I got older. With the added assistance and encouragement from my College Prep Advisor and CSF, I was able to accomplish the task of becoming the first in my family to attend and graduate from college.

I work for CSF because I am passionate about serving people, and even more, serving students. I love building relationships, witnessing growth and being a resource for success. I want to support my students, like my College Prep Advisor supported me. I’m grateful because I’m able to do what I love while giving back to the organization that helped me.

What I enjoy doing outside of work:

Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my son, chatting with family/friends, going on long, long walks/hikes, and traveling because I enjoy meeting new people, seeing new things and gaining new experiences. I might be an adrenaline junkie. I also enjoy watching/doing Tiktoks, and indulging in shows like Married at First Sight. Lastly, I don’t get it much, but sleep is always appreciated.
