Money Management

Most students who move out on their own for the first time find it difficult to manage all of their expenses. Learning to budget your money is the first key to financial success. Students can use the budget link below to begin financial planning for their future.

Budget your Money

Making good financial choices is important because unpaid bills can limit your many of your options. Your credit rating will be reviewed each time you apply to rent an apartment, apply for a credit card, or apply for a personal loan. It is important to know what's on your credit report because unpaid bills get sent to collection agencies and can lower your credit rating. If you are unsure of your credit score, you can check your credit report for free once a year by contacting one of the following credit bureaus.

Credit Bureaus
Equifax, Inc. - 800.685.1111
Experian - 800.422.4879
Trans Union Credit Information, Co. - 800.888.4213
