Summer funding for Achievers and Governors’ Scholarships
Eligibility
Note: CSF Scholarships are normally awarded for full-time academic year attendance (fall, winter and spring). CSF Scholars interested in attending during the summer should review the following.
Which CSF Scholars are eligible for summer scholarships?
Only students who are eligible for Achievers or Governors’ Scholarship disbursements may apply for summer scholarship funding.
Students must be planning to enroll for five or more credits during the summer. These credits must all be at the same college you are currently attending or plan to attend in the fall, or they must be recognized by your home college toward their degree requirements. Students taking less than five credits (usually one class) are not eligible for summer scholarship funding.
Students should submit copies of their summer registration forms as soon as possible and no later than one week after summer classes have started.
How large will my Achievers or Governors’ Scholarship be for summer?
A student now enrolled in a college and who plans to continue at that same college this summer will normally receive the same scholarship amount for full-time summer enrollment (12 or more credits) as the student received during his/her last term enrolled at that college. If a student is enrolled for 5 to 8 credits, half-time scholarship disbursement may be awarded; if a student is enrolled for 9 to 11 credits, a three-quarter time scholarship disbursement may be awarded.
For a student now enrolled in college but who plans to enroll in a different college during the summer, the summer scholarship disbursement will depend on the type of institution the student attends. This will be determined by a CSF Scholarship Services staff member.
For a student who is not now enrolled in college but who plans to enroll in college during the summer, the summer scholarship eligibility will be determined by a CSF Scholarship Services staff member.
Is there a list of eligible Washington colleges and universities?
Yes. See eligible Washington State Achievers Scholarship or eligible Washington State Governors’ Scholarship sections.
Will a CSF summer scholarship amount count towards the maximum five years of academic year scholarship eligibility that Achievers and Governors’ Scholars are allowed for bachelor’s degree completion?
Yes.
