WCAN 4th Annual State Conference

Thank You for Joining Us

The 4th annual WCAN Statewide Conference was held March 26–27, 2013, at Western Washington University. More than 150 college-access professionals gathered to network, collaborate and share best practices with colleagues from across the state. Attendees and presenters represented nonprofits, government agencies (state and local), K-12 educators, higher education and the private sectors in Washington state.

The 2013 conference theme focused on maximizing the benefits of collective impact within regional networks to increase college-access opportunities for students in their communities. Conference workshop facilitators and speakers delivered presentations focused on the theme “Beyond Collaboration: Collective Impact for College Access.” Conference participants learned about data resources and early-warning systems, innovative STEM programs, developing college-going cultures and the successes and challenges of creating regional collaborative networks, to name just a few of the  workshop topics.

The WCAN team would like to thank all of the conference participants, planning committee, conference volunteers and especially the speakers and workshop facilitators who helped make the 2013 conference a success.

Conference materials and presentations will be posted to the WCAN webpage by April 15, 2013.   Please check back to learn more about all of the conference presentations.

See you next year!
