Sixteen Washington High Schools Have Been Selected as “Achievers High Schools”
:
Must a student be attending
an Achievers High School to apply for the Washington State Achievers Scholarship
program? Yes, these are the only high schools in the program. Will
the same Achievers High Schools remain in the Program from year to year?
Yes, the commitment to these high schools and their students will extend through
the 13-year duration of the Achievers Scholarship Program. The program's components
of redesign, strengthening college awareness and providing scholarship opportunities
will take years to fully develop. As communities change, so will schools, and
both the College Success Foundation and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will
continue to work with the select Achievers High Schools and their surrounding
communities. When can
I apply for this scholarship? Juniors at the Achievers High Schools
may apply for the Achievers Scholarship each fall. The program will rely on the
high school to determine junior status. The application period generally runs
from September until November. Fall
